Autumn Inspiration

  • I’m a little old-fashioned, I like my afternoon tea to be served in a china cup AND saucer. There’s always somewhere to place your biscuit after you’ve dunked it into the tea. And just because a cup and saucer is a more formal than a chunky mug, it can be fun and fabulous too. Mrs Moore’s Alice in Wonderland tea set from Liberty London is quirky and curious, the Cheshire cat is my personal favourite.
  • Happy days are here to stay with Hill & Friends Happy Satchel in green.
  • Flat shoes need a touch of glam for the party season. Mulberry have added a metallic sheen to the Kensington slipper….. ‘you shall go to the ball’.
  • Stacking rings can be worn together or as single pieces. Monica Vinader does a wonderful range of rings that work perfectly together but I would wear the silver skinny stacking ring solo.
  • Every winter wardrobe needs a cosy knitted scarf and you can’t go wrong with a pom-pom or two.
  • Cable knit jumpers can appear rather butch and I don’t remember fisherman chic on the catwalk for AW15 but Markus Lupfer has used a finer knit and added a delicate sprinkle of gems around the neck to create a gorgeous feminine jumper.
