Wish Want Wear didn’t need to ask me twice if I fancied ‘owning’ a designer dress for a few days. I say owning because in my head, for four glorious days I owned a beautiful Just Cavalli dress, ignoring the fact that on the fourth day it would be time to go our separate ways. The hardest part was not letting go of such a gorgeous piece but deciding which dress to hire in the first place. I spent days flicking back and forth between an acid yellow tea dress by Malene Birger and a deep blue kaftan style dress by Just Cavalli. I selected the latter because in all honesty, I would never spend such a lot of money (£1270 RRP) on an item that could only be worn a few months of the year, so it’s unlikely I will wear such a dress again. Although I would definitely keep in mind renting a dress for a special occasion in the future now I know how easy it is.
(the print was a work of art and utterly mesmerising).
I hung the dress on the front of my wardrobe so I could admire it at all times and I really enjoyed wearing something so glamorous. Fit wasn’t too much of an issue for this particular dress as it had an unstructured quality but I would advise reading the section about fit and style to help you find a dress that flatters your body shape . Alternatively Wish Want Wear stylist are online to help with any quires and the review section is always worth reading. The whole process ran very smoothly- a lovely lady delivered my dress on time (you’re given a one-hour delivery slot), the dress was neatly packed and in great condition. Returning the dress was as simple as popping to my local Post Office and handing over the box free of charge.
A big thank you to Wish Want Wear for loaning me the dress which really made my weekend.
